Purton v Malmesbury Vics

Three very experienced officials on duty. The two eldest ARs and a third bald head in the middle.
The game started well enough with play flowing end to end and the goalkeepers up to scratch. Rivalry is always keen at this local derby but the referee kept the lid on.
After 17 mins Purton went ahead with a well taken but sloppily defended goal. Vics players seemed to get at each other and gradually they lost the thread allowing Purton to mount mor attacks and go 2 up by half time.
Vics settled again after the break and forced play into the Purton half. Unfortunately, several moves broke down because front players were caught offside too often.
Purton then increased their lead after 70 minutes and as legs got tired and the game got stretched netted twice more before the final whistle brought relief for Vics.
Two players from each team were booked - all in the first half.
