Cricklade Town v Clanfield

Ruddy cold breeze coming off Minety Plain meant that one had to keep moving inorder to keep warm.
Danny produced "buzzer" flags and the referee was wired up. Each time we flagged offside we would give him an electric shock. I wouldn't be missed this week!
As it turned out there weren't many offside decisions to make.
The referee kept the game flowing as much as possible and the lads responded. There was a lot of silly talk but more action to keep them busy.
It looked like an interesting afternoon when the visitors opened the scoring after ten minutes and Cricklade upped their game. In a matter of 8 minutes the home side rattled in three goals and the game petered out. Cricklade settled for a 3-1 win and Clanfield pulled everybody back in defence.
Even the introduction of subs after half time had little effect and the second period turned out a goalless draw.
