A pleasant afternoon for Winterbourne to finish their season as champions. The trophy was presented after the match...by the local mayor as the League could not supply an official.
United kicked off and soon discovered that Cricklade had to put out a scratch side. They played their hearts out but were no match for the slick United outfit.
They did however hold out until the last minute of the first half to go in for the half time cuppa just one goal to the good.
Then, in the second half they went up a gear and stormed to a 5-0 victory.
Just one caution for a desperate tackle by a Cricklade player.
